: 1965 VFL Scanlens

Released by Scanlens, their 3rd successive set of VFL cards, and also released NRL cards in NSW.

36 cards were included in this set, with 3 players from each of the 12 football clubs.

Variations do exist, including a gloss-less version which looks slightly paler in color. After researching this, we have yet to be told a specific reason why these are like this, but it is possible that a small number of sheets simply bypassed this area in the manufacturing process prior to being cut and packaged into their wax packs.
